Operation Dry Water

More than 25 marine law enforcement agencies across California will increase patrols July 2-4, 2022, to educate boaters specifically about drunken/impaired water recreation. This three-day enhanced enforcement period, known as Operation Dry Water (ODW), is a national boating under the influence awareness and enforcement campaign just before the Fourth of July holiday. This week is unfortunately known for deadly accidents due to boating under the influence (BUI).

Between July 2-4, 2022, California residents will see the following “Buzz Free” messages. Click on the radio spots below and share them to support the campaign. Everyone is encouraged to use the Facebook overlays to show support for buzz free boating.
